11 year old student Bailey Jasper did well at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood. She received a GOLD medal in the pop category for her version of “Pocketful of Sunshine.” She also received an Industry Award and received a BRONZE medal for an acting monologue she wrote herself.

She had a lot of positive feedback and several agents/producers talked with her specifically about Radio Disney

If you are a registered member of mySLSworld, and you will be attending the Seth Riggs Summer Vocal Program 2008 as a student, you could win to become the star of your own show!!

Over the course of camp, the winner chosen will be followed, interviewed, and filmed throughout their 10 day stay. The footage will follow you through your introduction at camp, your training, the classes you attend, and even your final performance and farewell. The footage will be edited down to a 30 min video segment of your entire experience at SVP 2008. It is your chance to star in your own reality TV show; it’s your chance to SHINE!

After much work and planning, I am very pleased and happy to be able to launch the new version of mySLSworld.com. Thanks to all of you who hung in there and kept things going over the last year. A very special thanks to my partners in crime, Allison & Brandon for all their hard work, and of course Dave and Chuck for their vision.

11 year old SLS student Bailey Jasper will compete in the World Championships of Performing Arts this summer in Hollywood!

WCOPA is slated as the “Talent Olympics,” and it’s an honor to be selected to represent the USA. Over 40 countries will be present with teams ready to compete in all aspects of performing arts. Seth Riggs himself has attended the competition and said,” I am impressed with the superb level of talent.”

Bailey has been performing in front of audiences since she was five years old. She said she feels “Incredibly fortunate to have Jeremy Bruce as a vocal instructor.” Studying with him just over a year, she has made great progress in her lessons with Jeremy.

Fourteen year old Christa Sandstrom has been hard at work on her voice, but besides having a great instrument, she is also a talented model, recently showing that off for the local TV show, Sonoran Living.

Christa is now being represented by FORD, one of the top international modeling agencies. Looks like all your hard work is paying off Christa. Congratulations!

Karly Kalstrom was accepted for the Phoenix Girl’s Chorus. She did so well that she was able to skip a level, which is very rare. She will now be going on tour to Russia next summer!

Karly is 12 years old and has been studying Speech Level Singing for almost a year.

The Seth Riggs Summer Vocal program is a life changing experience. Every night at the SVP there is a live concert and days are filled with classes that are taught by our amazing staff of working teachers and singers. Through open mic night, students take the stage and polish their performance skills in a professional setting.

This is the first year we are having a contest for our kickoff concert! In which YOU will perform! Every Year The first open mic night features top musicians in the business! We are always honored to have some of the most successful producers, artists and industry pros in our audience. This year 5 singers from mySLSworld will be chosen to open the Summer Program shows.

Due to 2008 Speech Level Singing Teacher’s Conference in LA, there are no lessons scheduled for Thursday, March 27 - Monday March 31.
